Why Are Sikhs Against Dasam Granth?
Sikhs are against Dasam Granth because Dasam Granth:
- Writers Poet Shyam and Poet Ram mention themselves at many instances
- Mool Mantar, base of Sikh religion, never appears in Dasam Granth
- Attacks core principle of Sikh religion by promoting worship and praise of goddess over God
- Describes God with 4 arms, conch, trident, etc. instead of formless God as described in Guru Granth Sahib Ji
- Demeans women by declaring that even God regrets after creating them
- Treats women as sexual objects
- Describes God as an alcoholic and cannabis addict
- Considers Guru Aangad and Guru Amardas to be from Bedi clan when that is not true. Guru Aangad was Trehan and Amardas was Bhalla
- Writer isn’t aware of Guru Gobind Singh’s childhood
- Disrespects Bhagat Ramanand who’s text is contained in Guru Granth Sahib Ji by depicting him as a lost individual without any spirituality
- Disrespects Guru Gobind Singh Ji by sending him to a prostitute at midnight as depicted in story 16
- Disrespects Guru Gobind Singh Ji by sending him to another woman at midnight as depicted in story 21
- Disrespects Guru Gobind Singh Ji by saying he got scared of this woman, lied and ran like a coward as depicted in story 21
- Disrespects Guru Gobind Singh Ji by saying he ordered Sikhs to remove turbans to give people robes of honor with stolen turbans - story 71
- Has no space or place to mention Gurbani or Guru Granth Sahib Ji but there is lots of space for sex and love stories
- Preaches faith in Shiv and Parbati to seek boons to attain magical powers to make people stick tongue in a mare’s backend to cure diseases as depicted in story 68
- Declares Jahagir, Emperor responsible for martyring Guru Arjan Ji, as a just Emperor
- Makes no mention of Piir Budhu Shah in Battle of Bhangani even though he came to help Guru Gobind Singh Ji along with his brothers and sons
- Tries to portray God as someone who keeps sending the wrong messenger as described in Bachitter Natak
- There is no mention of battles of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji to inspire warrior spirit and provide Sikh history but there are wars of goddess so is this scripture written for Hindu Hill chiefs or Sikhs?
- Writer lacks historical knowledge and states arrival of Mohammed to be after Ramanand and Gorakh when Mohammed was born centuries before Ramanand and Gorakh
- Uses sexual language that is very perverse and immoral
- Accepts cheating in retaliation to a cheating spouse and accepts rape to try to stop someone's cheating behaviour (basically promoting bajjar kurehit and indecent behaviour)
- Writer mentions fear of text getting big several times and requests poets to not laugh at his poetry. If it is work of Guru, who would laugh and why would Guru be scared of text getting big or someone laughing?
- There are so many more points but for anyone with basic understanding of Sikh faith and love for Guru would understand this is not a writing of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
